HEAD INSTRUCTOR MASTER STEVE RAPPORT

5th Dan Master Steve Rapport received his 1st Dan Black Belt from Grand Master Shin in 1995, and has been teaching Taekwondo, Hapkido and Kumdo at Hwa Rang Kwan ever since. In December 2004 was promoted to Master, and in late 2007 he attained the rank of 5th Dan. He has also been studying and teaching Kickboxing since 1997. Early in 2001 he took over the Eddy Street HRK studio, and began teaching full-time. In April 2001 he was promoted to Head Instructor by Grand Master Shin, and in November 2001 he moved the school to its current location at 371 5th Street.

Master Rapport devotes his life to staying on the martial arts' path, which is the 'do' part of Taekwondo. This involves a single-minded pursuit of personal development and growth, both mental and physical. He believes that the defining characteristics of the true martial artist are honesty, integrity, determination, perseverance, respect and, of course, indomitable spirit. He is steadily working towards the elusive goals of balance and harmony of mind, body and spirit.

In addition to his regular teaching schedule, Master Rapport also finds the time to teach private lessons and study Krav Maga and Yoga. In his spare time, Master Rapport is an accomplished photographer.
